Thanks for all effort, that can change our vision and our behavior, but in Egypt there is always a big problem. There is a belief that the theories and programs are different from practical performance. This belief comes from people and governmental mangers. So all the program’s points will be achieved without any change in real situation. I suggest saving these millions and try to change by model. Eurojar can choose some schools according to budget, then take full charge in schools management. And try to set inter national standers and Eurojar objectives. Then after people touch the real difference, we can ask the government to take this model and generalize it.
There are efforts to improve education yes, but seems no good results are achieved mostly in human rights. The people there are still look like ruled by army, and the system of service to people in general is so stiff... I should not forget too the human right violation on the borders of Gaza with people who wants to enter and come as a world right. If educational systems do not teach rights and how to deal well- not only with knowledge) then it's a failure.

It is good to hear that there is someone who really cares about our historical monuments. While reading the article, I was hoping to find so many Tunisian names to make sure that, also, in our country there are people who are hell-bent on preserving what is left of a glorious history. Tunisia, thanks to its location, welcomed many civilizations whose leaders built huge and glorious buildings. Not only in cities near the shores, but also in the far west cities like Sbitla, Kasserin...
I believe that in order to save the surviving monuments, there should be a campaign to make Tunisians aware of the significance of such a loss if those buildings become ruins.

I have read this article with cautious and i was not happy of the approaches being written due i guess to lack of real understanding of current environmental issues we are facing. The problem of pollution will not be tackled only through fundings bec most of the money used is not appropriately used and if ever used we seek the traditional methods the old fashion way. We need to look at alternatives , less costs , better and more sustainable output. Waste problems are derived from mass consumerism and lack of understanding of what our lives should mean to us as far as human values and choices we should take in life. Building waste water treatment is needed but what is more needed is eduation and awereness and return to ethics and values. We can keep dumping money on projects but who would assure me that our resources are being well taken care of and not depleted in a fast way? Where is the concept of sustainibility?

Europe wants and plans education for all in the developing countries. But what kind of education children need? Are they all the same to be ordered to follow the same educational mode? And more, practically do we really want all kids to learn and be educated for high positions? Not to have lower jobs in contrast to the elite job- mind jobs and hand jobs- desk jobs and field jobs...? NO. Some kids really don't need education at first stage; or they don't like educational schooling. You can not fit all kinds to one genre. Those kids who fail at school should be given another chance out of school. Some can work with their hands from early age. Maybe in time, they will like to study what they were exposed to. But we should respect the mood of those kids if we want them really to succeed not at school but in life. The idea is let them get out of school with the promise that they do something effective and with the pledge may of studying the thing they have already chosen. Education can be like food- where some children like everything. Others do not.
